Polka Dot Preschool is a home based educational program for children ages 3-5. We believe that children learn best through play, art, music, and books. These activities help develop essential skills for kindergarten readiness, social interactions, and emotional growth.

Here are a few of our focuses:
Kindergarten readiness; letter recognition and sounds, early writing skills, color and shape recognition, and early number skills.
Social Skill Development; sharing, turn taking, listening to the speaker, sitting attentively, and table manners.
Emotional Development; naming emotions, appropriate expressions of emotions.

Meet Miss Dot

Hello, I'm Miss Dot, the teacher and owner of Polka Dot Preschool. I am married to a very supportive husband and have 5 children, a cat, and a small dog. I love to sing, and am part of a barber shop chorus, so we will have plenty of music in our preschool!
I have always loved children and wanted to run a preschool in my home for a very long time. I earned a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, focused on early child development. I worked as a Program Director and Interim Director of a preschool/daycare facility. I have also worked as a substitute teacher in Kennewick and have been very involved with my children's PTO. I have enjoyed being at the school and making a difference there. This fall I will only have 1 preschool-aged child at home, and it felt like the right time to make my dream of a preschool become a reality.

Enrollment Information

Currently we offer 3 day preschool, on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings from 9:15-11:15. With enough interest, an afternoon class from 12-2 may be opened.

Registration fee is due at the time of registration $50
3 day preschool class $120/month
Tuition is due the first week of each month

Registration for the 2025-26 school year is now open, go to the Contact Me page and send a message requesting a registration packet.*Children must be 3 years old, and independently potty trained on or before the first day of class.
